A group of Allied healthcare providers working together to provide sports medicine services, education and support to area athletes, coaches and healthcare professionals.

To become the leader for sports medicine services and education in the southwest and a model program for others to follow.

In 2005, Gila Regional Medical Center and Southwest Bone and Joint formed a partnership whose goal was to provide sports medicine care to area athletes.  Now the program reaches athletes in Cliff and Silver Schools and provides coverage to many community events, such as the Tour of the Gila, the Wild Wild West Pro Rodeo, the Signal Peak Challenge, and the New Mexico Shootout.
A few of the services the Sports Medicine program provides include: pre-season physicals, rehabilitation (provided at the Silver High School training room after an injury or surgery occurs), and educational seminars for coaches, athletes and other healthcare providers in the community.

In 2009, Southwest Bone and Joint was proud to host the annual conference of the New Mexico Athletic Trainers Association in our Physical Therapy and Conference facility.
