Dr. Robinson founded Southwest Bone and Joint Institute in 1999 to help as many patients as possible in southwest New Mexico receive quality, compassionate care.
Dr. Robinson received his medical degree from the University of New Mexico (UNM) School of Medicine in Albuquerque and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at UNM Health Sciences Center. A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, he has developed his expertise in total joint replacement and sports medicine. Robinson currently serves as Team Physician for the athletic teams of Western New Mexico University, and previously was a team physician for the New Mexico Scorpions and the UNM Lobos women's soccer team.
I became a physician because I wanted to heal people. I created The Southwest Bone and Joint Institute because I wanted to help my community.
Dr. Robinson has held such professional appointments as Chief of Staff for Gila Regional Medical Center, Silver City, and Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Orthopedics, UNM School of Medicine. In 2002, he served as the Vice President for the New Mexico Orthopedic Association; he is also a member of the New Mexico Orthopedic Association.
Dr. Robinson has two sons, Michael and Patrick. He enjoys cycling in his free time.
